Night to Shine

On Friday night, Feb. 12, Community Heights Church, with the support of many partners, held the first Night to Shine event to happen in Newton. Community Heights would like to thank all the businesses and volunteers who helped make Night to Shine 2021 awesome.

Community Heights would like to extend a great thanks to the following businesses — Farm Bureau, The Dental Practice, Gregg Young Auto, Eye Care Center of Newton, Louck/ Buren Orthodontics, Birkenholz Realty, First Newton National Bank, Bank Iowa, Dimensions Accounting, Cline Tool and Clemon-Maki Insurance for supporting Night to Shine financially, thanks to Baqara Floral for donating the corsages and boutonnieres, Moo’s Bar-b-q and Bridgehouse Coffee for donating gift cards, to Olive’et Boutique for donating jewelry and heart-shaped sunglasses, Capitol II for making a lot of popcorn and to the students at Berg Middle School and Newton High School for their time and energy.

Lastly, a BIG thanks to Hy-Vee in Newton for donating an awesome meal to all the honored guests, caregivers and parents.

Beau Church, one of the pastors at Community Heights said, “I am blown away by the coming together of our community to celebrate people within our community! Yeet!”

Community Heights is planning to host the Night to Shine event Feb. 12, 2022. Night to Shine is a prom night that celebrates people living with special needs. This event is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and is hosted by churches all over the world.
