COLFAX — Colfax-Mingo’s football team lost a halftime lead, was outscored 19-0 in the second half and lost 25-7 on Senior Night during 1A District 7 action on Oct. 2.
It was the final home game on Tigerhawk Field as Colfax-Mingo will play on its new turf field next fall.
The Tigerhawks (0-6 overall, 0-4 in district play) led 7-6 at halftime.
Junior Cole Bracewell threw for 148 yards and connected with junior Colton Lind for a TD in the second quarter.
Bracewell also rushed for 65 yards on 18 carries and had one sack, two tackles for loss and one fumble recovery on defense.
Junior Justin Myers had six catches for 60 yards on offense and added 6.5 tackles and a fumble recovery on defense.
Senior Jayden Horrach rushed for 84 yards on 20 carries, Lind finished with 57 yards and a TD on three catches and senior Zach Steenhoek hauled in five passes for 29 yards.
Freshman Trey Hockemeier tallied eight tackles and junior Tanner Gorman added five tackles. Lind recorded two fumble recoveries.
Central Decatur (2-4, 1-3) rushed for 258 yards and averaged six yards per carry in the win.
The Tigerhawks play Pella Christian (3-3, 3-1) at 7 p.m. on Oct. 7 in Pella.
