Bussan, Wood lead PCM to another win

ACKWORTH — Mack Bussan won medalist honors, Allison Wood finished third and PCM’s girls’ golf team won another tournament on April 9.

Bussan shot a 49 to win and Wood carded a 51 as the Mustangs shot a 209 and defeated Pleasantville, Melcher-Dallas and Martensdale-St. Marys at Shady Oaks Golf Course.

PCM’s six golfers were all in the top 10 overall. Pleasantville shot a 238 and Melcher-Dallas carded a 253. Martensdale-St. Marys had only one golfer.

Wood’s 51 tied for runner-up medalist, but she lost in a card off to Pleasantville’s Breanna Benge. Juniors Alexis and Brooke Dross had the other two counting scores with a 54 and a 55, respectively.

Alexis Dross tied for fourth. Brooke Dross took sixth overall.

Junior Gabbi Van Baale and senior Magan Van Haaften had non-counting scores of 59 and 62, respectively. Van Baale was seventh overall and Van Haaften finished 10th.
