Moving to a new location can bring an added buzz to a business. That is true of Anytime Fitness, which relocated across the street to 1718 First Ave. E. in September.

The gym’s membership has reached more than 800 members, according to Kylie Carkhuff, club manager and health coach. The gym has also strengthened its group training program and acquired new equipment.

The new location has received positive feedback on the new equipment and training programs. Personal Training Manager Brittany Arrendell said she was excited about the relocation because there would be more space for group training and boot camps.

“Everyone loves the new space and equipment,” Arrendell said. “I think the great thing about Anytime Fitness is you can visit any location and it’s open 24 hours.”

Arrendell said the gym also gained an employee after the move. Sabrina Clement works part-time and assists at mornings and nights with group training.

All of the employees at Anytime Fitness work together to bring high quality fitness training to members. With each of their expertises, well-rounded programs are available for every level training.

“We work hand-and-hand — I handle group and personal training and Kylie handles club access,” Arrendell said.

“I work one-on-one with group training five times a week, and I offer free fitness consults. My favorite part of my job is helping others reach a healthier stage in their life ... I see results between four to six weeks.”

The gym also offers tanning beds, group training and personal training and a free fitness consultation.

“We tailor the exercises to their needs,” Arrendell said. “We assist athletes to people who want to lower their blood pressure or improve their cardiovascular.”

Carkhuff said even though some people think being at a gym is uncomfortable, employees at Anytime Fitness really care about customers and encouraging them.

“People going from the littlest movements to now being able to do everything in the gym — that’s my favorite part,” Carkhuff said. “I think it’s super rewarding to see people be successful and knowing that we helped them.”
