DUBUQUE — A 36-year-old man has been accused of killing a woman he just met hours earlier in Dubuque.
Court records say Michael Piantieri was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree murder. Police say he killed 42-year-old Beverly Puccio, who was found dead inside her home late Sunday night. The records say surveillance video showed Puccio and Piantieri at a bar Saturday evening and that they left at about 8 p.m. in a cab that took them to her home. The records say he denied going into Puccio’s home.
