IOWA CITY — A man convicted of murder in the fatal shooting of a woman in a Coralville mall was sentenced Monday to life in prison without parole.
A jury in April found Alexander Kozak, 23, guilty of first-degree murder in the shooting death of 20-year-old Andrea Farrington at the Coral Ridge Mall on June 12. “I took her life,” Kozak said during the sentencing hearing. “That’s a truth I must live with.”
