WATERLOO — Planning has begun for a new marina on the Cedar Valley TechWorks Campus in Waterloo. The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports the project, which is estimated to cost $2.7 million, is meant to enhance boating and water recreation on the Cedar River downtown. The project is part of an Iowa Reinvestment District application approved for TechWorks by the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
TechWorks Campus is a development and education center.
Officials say the marina would include 18 rental boat slips, pontoon rentals and a “fisherman’s pub.”
