Criminal Court Dispositions

The following criminal cases were heard in Jasper County District Court in the past week.

• Erika Elizabeth Axtell, 18, pleaded guilty to a charge of fifth-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor, and was fined $200.

• Erika Elizabeth Axtell, 18, pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault, a simple misdemeanor. She was sentenced to two days in jail, suspended, and was fined $65. She was placed on probation for one year.

• James Allen Bonnett, 28, had a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor, dismissed by the court.

• Brock McRey Burgdorf, 25, pleaded guilty to a charge of probation violation, and was sentenced to 20 days in jail. He must continue probation after his release from jail.

• Jasmine Marie Edmisson, 21, pleaded guilty to charges of assault causing injury and fourth-degree criminal mischief. A charge of assualting a peace officer was dismissed. She was sentenced to 10 days in jail and fined $625 on the assault conviction. She was sentenced to two days in jail and fined $315, concurrent with the first conviction, on the criminal mischief conviction. Probation on an earlier conviction for fourth-degree theft was revoked.

• Nigel Wayne Graves, 32, pleaded guilty to a charge of habitual violator of Iowa alcoholic beverage control regulations, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail and fined $625. In a separate case, he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault while using or displaying a weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail and fined $625 on that conviction, as well. Additional charges of habitual violator and possession of a controlled substance were dismissed by the court.

• Christopher Brent Hasselbrink, 21, pleaded guilty to a charge of probation violation, and was sentenced to 10 days in jail.

• Brett Wesley Janes, 34, pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct-fighting, a simple misdemeanor. He was fined $200.

• Jesse Tanner Lundin, 26, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana-second offense, a serious misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, all but seven suspended, and fined $315. He was placed on probation for one year.

• Danny Joe Manley, 46, had a charge of fifth-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor, dismissed by the court.

• Daryl Bixby Merril, 19, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. He was fined $65.

• Angel Adrian Miranda, 23, pleaded guilty to a charge of fifth-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor. He was fined $250.

• John David Riddle, 46, pleaded guilty to a charge of trespassing, a simple misdemeanor. He was sentenced to seven days in jail and fined $65. Additional charges of habitual violator and assault were dismissed by the court.

• Angel Anne Roberts, 38, pleaded guilty to a charge of forgery, a Class D felony. She was sentenced to five years in prison and fined $750, all of which were suspended. She was placed on probation for five years, concurrent to a conviction in Mahaska County.

• Ricky Lee Wells, 29, pleaded guilty to a charge of assault, a simple misdemeanor. He was sentenced to seven days in jail and fined $100.

• Tianna Dawn Wolfe, 20, pleaded guilty to a charge of fifth-degree criminal mischief, a simple misdemeanor, and was fined $65.
