NEVADA — A career scoring night for Kyra Naeve and 18 steals led the PCM girls basketball team to a road win over Nevada on Friday.
The Class 3A No. 8 Mustangs started fast and finished faster during a 60-24 victory over the Cubs in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play.

PCM led 12-2 after one quarter and outscored Nevada 14-2 in the fourth. The Mustangs had a 34-20 advantage in the middle two quarters, too.
Nevada is 23-11 against PCM since 2009, but the Mustangs have won five straight in the series.
Naeve scored a career-best 22 points and swiped two steals to lead PCM. She was 3-of-5 from 3-point range.
Tori Lindsay posted 18 points, three rebounds, two assists and seven steals, Libby Winters totaled seven points, eight boards, four assists and three steals and Kenna Grier chipped in five points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals off the bench.

Jorja Teeter finished with three points, four rebounds and two assists and Lila Milani registered three points, two assists and three steals.
The Mustangs (8-1, 6-0 in the conference) shot 43 percent from the floor, made 7-of-18 from 3 and connected on 9-of-11 from the free-throw line.
PCM turned the ball over 13 times but forced Nevada into 33 turnovers. The Cubs (4-3, 3-2) shot 30 percent from the floor and made only 2-of-13 from 3.
Emilee Kelly scored 15 points to lead Nevada, while Avyn Heitz grabbed seven rebounds.
