MONROE — Chase Wagaman led three Mustangs in double figures, Shay Burns scored a career-best 12 points off the bench and the PCM boys basketball team defeated Grand View Christian for the first time in program history on Tuesday.
The Mustangs led by five at halftime but pulled away in the second half during a 65-52 home win in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play.

PCM led 11-6 after one quarter, both teams scored 16 points in the second and the Mustangs won the second half 38-30.
Wagaman led PCM with 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals. He was 2-of-2 from 3-point range.
Thomas totaled 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals and Burns was 5-of-6 from the field and 2-of-3 from 3 in the win.
Joe Shaver contributed seven points and six boards, Abe Kiernan posted six points and seven rebounds and Andy Bellinghausen tallied six points and three rebounds off the bench.

Reserves Bryson Karr registered five points and two steals, Kash Fischer grabbed three rebounds and Alex Wendt pulled down two boards.
The Mustangs (5-2, 4-1 in the HOIAC) won their fourth straight game after shooting 41 percent from the floor. They also made 7-of-14 from 3, buried 12-of-18 from the free-throw line and turned the ball over 13 times.
PCM out-rebounded Grand View Christian 39-24. Six-foot-5 Brayden Hoben led the Thunder (2-4, 2-3) with 23 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks.
Grand View Christian shot 38 percent from the floor, made 4-of-18 from 3 and connected on 10-of-16 from the foul line. The Thunder turned the ball over 16 times.
