KEOTA — Kate Harthoorn made six 3-pointers and led four Hawks in double figures during the Lynnville-Sully girls basketball team’s 69-41 road win over Keota on Tuesday.

The Class 1A No. 6 Hawks scored at least 20 points in the first three quarters and never looked back during the South Iowa Cedar League win.

“I was proud of how the girls stayed the course and didn’t get away from the game plan,” Lynnville-Sully head girls basketball coach Jerry Hulsing said. “Things didn’t go our way in the first half, but they believed in what we were doing and played a good second half. Our defensive pressure in the half court was good, and we rebounded well.”

Breah Lowry
