BAXTER — Kamdyn Krampe’s double-double led the Baxter girls basketball team to a narrow home win over Meskwaki Settlement School on Tuesday.
The Bolts led by five after one quarter and went into halftime with a six-point advantage but held off a late Warriors’ rally during a 49-46 victory in Iowa Star Conference South Division play.
It was Baxter’s third straight win over the Warriors, and the Bolts are 10-7 in the series since 2017.

Krampe led the way with 20 points, 10 rebounds and five steals and Emileigh Beals added 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
Olivia Parrie contributed 10 points, seven rebounds and three steals and was 4-of-6 from the free-throw line.
Kaylyn Krampe totaled four points, four boards and three assists and Avery Wonders grabbed nine rebounds.

The Bolts (1-1, 1-0 in the conference) shot 33.3 percent from the floor and won the game despite making only 1-of-18 from 3 and 14-of-26 from the foul line.
Baxter swiped 11 steals and turned the ball over 24 times.
The Warriors dropped to 0-2 on the season. They lost their first two games by a combined nine points.
