Lynnville-Sully sophomore Peyton Sharp ranked in the top 10 in five offensive categories.
Senior Alaina Roberts got on base 44 percent of the time and laced five doubles for the Hawks softball team.
Both players were named first team all-conference in the South Iowa Cedar League recently.

The SICL did not have a state qualifying team, but Sigourney won the league title with a record of 15-1.
Joining Sharp and Roberts on the all-SICL softball team were second-team selections Kate Harthoorn, Jakeira Hay and Olivia Norrish and honorable mention picks Sophia Squires and Ava Brummel.
L-S sophomore Addison Collum also received a Golden Award, which goes to players in the league who had the chance to be an all-conference player had it not been for an injury.

Junior Brianna Freerksen and senior Emma Cook were the honorable mention selections for Colfax-Mingo.
All-conference recognition is based on statistics inside conference play only.
Sharp was a first-team outfielder after ranking third in the SICL with a batting average of .500. She was seventh in on-base percentage at .520 and ranked second with 10 doubles. Her 24 hits and 39 total bases ranked tied for fifth and fourth, respectively.

Sharp also finished with 17 runs, nine RBIs, one homer, one triple, two walks and five steals and her fielding percentage was .925.
Roberts, a first-team infielder, batted .388 and she posted an OBP of .444. Her five doubles tied for 10th in the SICL and she totaled 19 hits, 16 runs, seven RBIs, three walks, 24 total bases, two hit by pitches and seven steals. Her fielding percentage was .884.
Hay, a senior, was one of the second-team catchers after ranking seventh in the conference with a batting average of .465. Her .529 OBP ranked sixth and she led the conference with 12 doubles.

Hay tied for sixth with 18 RBIs, ranked eighth with 35 total bases and tallied 20 hits, one homer and seven walks and she posted a fielding percentage of .974. She committed one error in 39 chances, which ranked tied for third.
Harthoorn, a junior, was a second-team pitcher after finishing 6-9 with an earned run average of 5.43. Her 22 strikeouts ranked 10th and her 78 2/3 innings pitched was eighth.
Harthoorn’s OBP was .421, and she finished with 11 runs, seven RBIs, seven walks, 18 total bases and 11 steals and her fielding percentage was .960. She committed one error in 25 chances.

Norrish, a senior, was a second-team choice in the outfield. She ranked eighth in the league with a .450 batting average. Her .500 OBP tied for ninth and she finished tied for sixth with 13 steals.
Norrish added 18 hits, 12 runs, 10 RBIs, four walks and 19 total bases and had a fielding percentage of .929.
Brummel, a sophomore, tied Roberts and ranked tied for 10th in the league with five doubles. She batted .333, had an OBP of .364 and finished with 14 hits, seven runs, 10 RBIs, two walks and 19 total bases and her fielding percentage was .945.

Squires batted .333 and had a .354 OBP. She totaled 15 hits, five runs, three doubles, nine RBIs, two walks, 18 total bases and four steals.
Freerksen ranked eighth with 30 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings as one of C-M’s pitchers. She led the Tigerhawks in several offensive categories, including batting average (.341), OBP (.491), hits (14), runs (16), doubles (4), walks (11) and total bases (18).
Freerksen also totaled five RBIs and had a .985 fielding percentage. She committed one error in 66 chances, which tied for third in the league.

Cook batted .176 and posted a .364 OBP. She finished with six hits, three runs, six RBIs, eight walks, six total bases and she was hit by two pitches. Her fielding percentage was .943.
