SULLY — Carson Maston laced two doubles, JD Richards collected three RBIs and Jack Bowlin had two hits at the plate and improved to 4-0 on the mound on Wednesday.
The Lynnville-Sully baseball team scored first and last and a seven-run fifth inning propelled the Class 1A No. 3 Hawks to an 11-1 home win over Keota during South Iowa Cedar League play.

The Hawks out-hit Keota 10-2, and the hosts committed three errors. It was Lynnville-Sully’s seventh straight win over the Eagles, which fell to 6-8 and 5-8 in the conference.
Maston had three hits, scored one run and walked once, Bowlin finished with two hits and two RBIs and Richards tallied one hit, two runs, three RBIs, one walk and two steals in the win.
Maston leads the Hawks (19-2, 15-1 in the SICL) with 19 walks, Richards has a team-best 17 steals and Bowlin is batting a team-best .413.
Terran Gosselink, Brody Borg, Gavin Fisk and Matthew Mintle contributed one hit each. Gosselink posted one RBI and was hit by two pitches, Borg doubled, scored one run and walked once, Mintle finished with two runs, one RBI and two walks and Fisk totaled one run and one RBI. Gosselink leads L-S with 12 hit by pitches.

Lannon Montgomery drew on walk and Gavin Olea scored one run.
Bowlin (4-0) scored the pitching win after allowing one unearned run on two hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out 11 batters on 91 pitches.
Lynnville-Sully’s road game against Baxter on Thursday was canceled due to heavy rain and storms in the area.

SULLY — The Hawks had more errors (6) than hits (5) but defeated Montezuma for a ninth straight time on Friday.
Lynnville-Sully rallied from two different deficits and a three-run sixth inning powered it to a 10-8 home win on Senior Night during SICL play.

The Hawks, who have won four straight games, led 4-0 after four, trailed 5-4 in the fifth, led 7-5 after five and trailed 8-7 in the sixth before rallying for their 19th win of the season.
Both teams had five hits, but the Hawks were plagued by a season-high six errors.
Maston, Montgomery and Gosselink were recognized for Senior Night before the game.
Maston led the offense with two hits, one double, one run, two RBIs and two walks and got the pitching win. He leads the Hawks with seven doubles.

Montgomery doubled, scored two runs and walked once and Gosselink chipped in one RBI. Montgomery leads L-S with 28 runs and 38 total bases.
Richards finished with one hit, one run and one steal and he was hit by one pitch, Bowlin scored two runs, had one RBI and stole one base, Borg totaled one hit, one run and was hit by one pitch and Ethan Dunsbergen scored two runs and stole one base.
Olea contributed two RBIs and one walk, Mintle was hit by one pitch and stole one base, Fisk tallied one RBI and Wyatt Mathis scored one run.
Maston improved to 7-0 on the mound after allowing five runs — two earned — on four hits, three walks and one hit batter in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out 11 and used 103 pitches.
Trace Carlson tossed 1 1/3 innings and surrendered three runs — none earned — on one hit and two walks with four strikeouts.
