Colfax-Mingo’s Snyder chooses DMACC dance team

Tigerhawk senior has been dancing for the past four years

Colfax-Mingo senior Karmylia Snyder signed with the DMACC dance team recently. She chose DMACC over Iowa Central. "I have family in Ames and I get to follow Kelsey (Gillespie)," Snyder said about why she picked DMACC. "She’s a good dance coach. Before (Coach Gillespie) was DMACC’s dance coach, she pushed me to go to Iowa Central because they have a good dance program." Snyder has only been dancing for the past four years.  "I think it will be a good experience," Snyder said. "It was cool at the high school level because I had never danced before." DMACC's head dance coach is Kelsey Gillespie, who owns Colfax Dance Academy and is an alum of PCM High School. Snyder plans on majoring in kinesiology. (Submitted Photo)

The DMACC dance team’s head coach is Kelsey Gillespie, who owns Colfax Dance Academy and is an alum of PCM High School.

Snyder chose DMACC over Iowa Central and plans to major in kinesiology.
