OSKALOOSA — Cason Fitch shot an 89 and Jace Lewis turned in a career-best 92, and the Colfax-Mingo boys golf team placed sixth at the South Iowa Cedar League tournament on Monday.
The Tigerhawks shot 388 in sixth and Lynnville-Sully was 11th with a 482.
HLV/TC won the conference championship with 335. The Warriors had the meet medalist as Peyton Roth shot 75 as the individual winner.
Sigourney (336) trailed HLV/TC by just one stroke and the rest of the top five was Keota (341), BGM (365) and North Mahaska (373).

Colfax-Mingo led the next group and the 11-team field also included Montezuma (426), Iowa Valley (440), English Valleys (443) and Belle Plaine (463).
Keota’s Brennan McGuire was the runner-up medalist with a 77. English Valleys Gage Heyne placed third with a 78 and Keota’s Porter Cave shot a 79.
Fitch (89), Lewis (career-best 92), Luke Padgett (102) and Shane Hostetter (105) were the scoring golfers for Colfax-Mingo and Gavin Syndes (111) and Alex Teed (career-best 115) turned in non-counting scores.
Carson Maston led Lynnville-Sully with a 101. Max Morvant posted a career-best 119, Blake Maston shot 119 and Boston Agan had a 143 as the Hawks’ scoring golfers.
Host Iowa Valley edges Tigerhawks
MARENGO — Fitch was the meet medalist and Padgett finished third, but Colfax-Mingo finished second after tying with Iowa Valley on May 1.
Both teams shot 198 at Marengo Golf Club, but the Tigers won the South Iowa Cedar League matchup due to a better fifth score.
It was the first competition for the Tigerhawks since April 22 after pair of meets against Belle Plaine and English Valleys were canceled on April 29 and April 29.

Fitch took home the top spot in the standings after carding a 44. Padgett shot a 48 in third and the other two counting scores came from Hostetter (51) and Lewis (55).
Sydnes (59) and Maverick Harter (61) had non-counting scores. It was the varsity debut for Harter.
Iowa Valley’s Samuel Ahrens shot a 46 in second. The Tigers had a 58-59 advantage in the fifth-score tiebreaker.
C-M girls finish third at EBF Invitational
OSKALOOSA — Lily Webster and Dakota Allen shot well below their season averages, and the duo helped the Colfax-Mingo girls golf team to a third-place finish at the EBF Invitational on Tuesday.
The Tigerhawks shot 213 in third. They were better than host Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (237) and Montezuma (238).
Sigourney won the meet with a 203 and Ella Bruns was the runnner-up medalist with a 47.
Oskaloosa’s junior varsity shot 205 in second, but Celli Pilcher was the meet medalist with a 47.
Webster and Lily Brenner both shot 49s to lead the Tigerhawks. The other two scoring golfers were Dakota Allen (56) and Faith Allen (59). Chloe Clements (66) had a non-counting score.
Brenner was four strokes below her season average, but Webster finished 19 shots under season average of 68 and Dakota Allen was 13 lower than her 68 average.
