LE GRAND — The PCM boys track and field team claimed one win and registered five top-three finishes at the Mustang Relays on Monday.
The visiting Mustangs won the 4x200 relay, scored double points in the 110-meter hurdles and Chase Wagaman had the lone runner-up finish as PCM scored 64 points in fifth.
Denver claimed the meet championship with 142 points. Vinton-Shellsburg was the runner-up with 112, while Aplington-Parkersburg (78) and host East Marshall (72) completed the top five.

The rest of the 12-team field included BCLUW (60), Montezuma (58), Hudson (57), AGWSR (41), Belmond-Klemme (32), HLV (20) and Gladbrook-Reinbeck (1).
PCM’s winning 4x200 relay team featured Griffin Olson, Gabe Hobbs, Jacob Wendt and Evan Jones. They finished the race in a season-best 1 minute, 31.77 seconds.
Wagaman’s second-place finish in the high jump was marked at 5 feet, 10 inches.
Two of PCM’s three third-place finishes came in relays. But Olson (16.89) and Jake Winters (career-best 17.24) finished 3-5 in the 110 high hurdles.

The shuttle hurdle relay team of Jaden Houser, Winters, Gavin Steenhoek and Trigg Steenhoek placed third in 1:10.11.
Olson, Joe Shaver, Carson Hansen and Coby DeRaad ended up third in the 4x800 relay. They hit the finish line in a season-best 8:57.94.
PCM’s sprint medley relay team took fifth with Hobbs, Wendt, Jones and Riley Graber. The foursome finished in 1:41.81.
Kolby Clark (12:08.42) also was fifth in the 3,200 and Tad Wilson (career-best 12.02) placed sixth in the 100.
