MAXWELL — Treyton Travis and Perrin Sulzle posted double-doubles and the Baxter boys’ basketball team continued its dominance over rival Collins-Maxwell on Friday night.
The Bolts doubled up the Spartans in the first quarter and led throughout the contest during a 78-52 road win in Iowa Star Conference South Division play.
Baxter, which shot 52.4 percent from the floor, led 20-10 after one quarter and outscored the Spartans 20-15 in the second, 21-11 in the third and 17-16 in the fourth.

It was the sixth straight win for Baxter over Collins-Maxwell and the Bolts are 12-1 against their rivals since 2017.
Travis posted 24 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and three steals, while Sulzle’s first career double-double included a career-best 22 points and 11 rebounds with three steals and two blocks.
Cainan Travis added a career-high 17 points along with four rebounds, two assists and two steals and Ben Richardson chipped in a career-best nine points along with three boards, three assists and two steals. Stadan Vansice grabbed three rebounds.
The Bolts (2-0, 2-0 in the conference) shot 6-of-14 from 3 and made 6-of-12 from the free-throw line. They committed 17 turnovers.
Ian Beattie led Collins-Maxwell with 13 points. Josef Dvorak chipped in 10 points and six boards and Lane Oswalt corralled 10 rebounds.
The Spartans (1-1, 1-1) shot 32.8 percent from the floor, connected on 5-of-24 from 3 and hit 7-of-11 from the charity stripe. They committed 11 turnovers.
