COLFAX — Three Tigerhawks had at least seven kills, but HLV’s kill efficiency was almost a full percentage point higher and the Warriors served 12 more times during their South Iowa Cedar League volleyball matchup on Monday.
The end result was a 25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 25-14 road win for HLV.
Colfax-Mingo was 72-of-81 in serves with four aces, while HLV was 85-of-93 with five aces. The Warriors had a kill efficiency advantage of .160 to .072.
Trinity Smith led the Tigerhawks (2-10 overall, 0-3 in the SICL) with 18 kills and tallied a double-double with 12 digs. Her kill efficiency was .203.

Madison Stackhouse also registered a double-double with 31 assists, 13 digs and two blocks. Addie Schroeder had seven kills and 17 digs, Charlotte Donahue tallied four kills and 13 digs and Britney Keeney posted seven kills and two blocks.
Katelyn Steenhoek, Cadence Linn and Kaylee Collins all finished with five digs, Grace Allen added four digs and Linn served up three aces.
Stackhouse and Schroeder both served 13-of-13, Donahue was 11-of-11 and Steenhoek connected on 14-of-15.
Hailey Jack, Ema Roberts and Mckenzie Kempf all had double-doubles for the Warriors (5-15, 2-1).
Jack finished with 33 assists, 10 digs and nine kills, Roberts tallied 19 kills and 14 digs and Kempf chipped in 13 kills and 14 digs.
