Senior Paige Steenhoek ranked in the top 10 in the Heart of Iowa Athletic Conference in five offensive categories this summer. Senior Joslin Briles was top 10 in three categories.
Both Mustangs earned first team all-conference recognition recently after leading the squad to a third place conference finish.
Seniors RaeAnn Duinink and Riley Johannes, sophomore Addison Steenhoek and freshmen Tori Lindsay and Rylee Parsons all were second-team selections and senior Sidney Shaver and freshman Lillian Humpal were the honorable mention choices.

Lark Drake also earned Distinguished all-conference honors, for which any HOIAC athlete who was a previous all-conference player but was unable to play because of injury or leaving for military duty is eligible.
All-conference recognition is based on statistics inside conference play only.
Briles made the first team as an infielder after batting .351 and posting an on-base percentage of .432.
She ranked tied for fourth in the HOIAC with 17 RBIs, tied for seventh with two homers and tied for eighth with four doubles. Her 23 total bases ranked 13th and she added eight runs and five walks and she was hit by one pitch.

Briles moved to first base this season and ranked tied for ninth in the HOIAC with a fielding percentage of .981.
Paige Steenhoek was a first-team utility player after ranking eighth in the conference with a .422 batting average. She also ranked third with 19 RBIs, fifth with six doubles and seventh with 14 runs and 28 total bases.
Paige Steenhoek had an OBP of .438 and finished with one homer and two walks and her fielding percentage with one error was .938.
Parsons was a second-team selection as a pitcher. She was 10-4 in conference play and her 1.87 earned run average ranked third.
Her 10 wins were third-most in the HOIAC and she also ranked third with 74 strikeouts and fourth with 86 innings pitched. Her fielding percentage was .913.

Addison Steenhoek earned second-team honors as a catcher after ranking seventh in the league with a .432 batting average. Her .469 OBP ranked 12th and she was tied for eighth with 27 total bases, ninth with 12 runs and tied for 14th with three doubles.
Her 11 RBIs ranked tied for 11th, she was one of only 12 players with a triple in conference play and she added three walks, three steals and one homer and she was hit by one pitch.
Addison Steenhoek’s .988 fielding percentage with one error ranked sixth in conference play. She also threw out six of the 12 runners who tried to steal a base.

Lindsay was a second-team infielder after batting .293 and posting an OBP of .383. She was hit by four pitches, which ranked second in the conference.
Lindsay’s 12 runs ranked tied for ninth, her seven steals ranked eighth and she was tied for eighth with four doubles. She ranked tied for 14th with 10 RBIs and added 19 total bases, one homer and two walks.
Her .962 fielding percentage ranked 15th.

Duinink was a second-team outfielder after batting .306 and posting an OBP of .390. Her three doubles ranked tied for 14th and she finished with seven runs, eight RBIs, four walks, one homer and 17 total bases and she was hit by one pitch.
Duinink did not commit an error during conference play this season.
Johannes’ second-team selection came as a utility player. She batted .257 and her .447 OBP ranked 15th in conference play. Johannes tied for third with 11 walks, tied for 14th with three doubles and finished with 12 total bases, seven runs and five RBIs and she was hit by one pitch.

Johannes had a fielding percentage of .921.
Shaver was given honorable mention recognition after ranking tied for third in conference play with 11 walks and tied for fourth with two hit by pitches.
Shaver was eighth with 13 runs and finished with two doubles, six RBIs, nine total bases and three stolen bases. She batted .189, had an OBP of .400 and posted a .952 fielding percentage.

Humpal was an honorable mention pick after ranking tied for 12th in the league with five steals. She batted .278, posted an OBP of .350 and finished with 10 runs, one double, one homer, one RBI, one walk and nine total bases and she was hit by one pitch.
