PCM, L-S girls open golf season against Pella

Davis leads area contingent at Diamond Trail Golf Club

LYNNVILLE — The PCM and Lynnville-Sully girls’ golf teams opened their seasons at Diamond Trail Golf Club on Thursday, but neither the Mustangs nor the Hawks could keep up with Pella.

The Dutch took the top three spots and also were fifth and seventh in the final standings. They won the day with a team score of 206.

PCM finished second with a 244 and Lynnville-Sully did not have enough golfers for a team score.

Eleigh Davis led the Mustangs in fourth with a 57 and Riley Johannes and Meredith Chipps both shot 61s. Brelee Berger (65) and Bella Lorton (67) also competed for PCM.

Lynnville-Sully’s Renzi Ingersoll was the lone Hawk and she shot a 72 on her home course.

Pella’s Karsyn Lyons was the medalist with a 44 and Ellie Wogen finished second with a 51.
