GRINNELL — Colfax-Mingo’s Carley Underwood was part of both Tigerhawk victories during the South Iowa Cedar League Indoor meet on Monday.
Underwood won the 60-meter hurdles and opened the winning 4x200 relay and the Tigerhawks registered 10 top-six finishes in all. The C-M boys collected four top-six tallies at Grinnell College.
Underwood won the 60 hurdles by nearly a full second, stopping the clock in a career-best 9.74 seconds. McKenna Pleima finished sixth in 10.94.
Underwood and Pleima teamed up with Caylee Cunningham and Emmalyn Buchman to win the 4x200 relay in 1 minute, 58.43 seconds.
The next best finish came in the 4x400 relay where Underwood, Trinity Smith, Pleima and Felicity Woods combined to finish third with a time of 4:50.29.

The Tigerhawks recorded a pair of fourth-place finishes. Cunningham was fourth in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 4 inches and the 4x800 relay team of Adalai Schroeder, Smith, Shae Wilkins and Rachael Uecker finished fourth in 12:00.93.
Wilkins placed fifth in the 1,500 with a time of 6:35.82, Jenah Jones took fifth in the 60 dash with a time of 8.97 seconds and Holland Robinette finished fifth in the shot put with a toss of 29-8.
The final top-six finish came from Cadence Linn. She was sixth in the 400 with a time of 1:18.46.
The Tigerhawk boys were led by Carter Gibson. He finished second in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.23 seconds. Xavier Woods ended up sixth in 9.87.
Woods also had a mark of 5-6 in the high jump and placed sixth. Ben Keeney finished fifth in the shot put with a heave of 37-8.
