GRINNELL — Defending Class 3A state champion Addy Terpstra anchored the Newton shuttle hurdle relay team to a win at the Little Hawkeye Conference Indoor meet on Thursday.
Then she dominated the 60-meter hurdles at Grinnell College.
The Cardinals tallied nine top-six finishes on the night.
Terpstra won the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.36 seconds. The shuttle hurdle relay team of Macy Lampe, Mack Sims, Chloe Rorabaugh and Terpstra won the race in 40.41 seconds.

Newton placed second in two events. The Cardinals were the runner-up in the distance medley relay. The team of Lola Rivera, Bella Winther, Brooklyn Shannon and Kate Muckler stopped the clock in 4 minutes, 44.03 seconds.
There were no team points kept in the meet, but Newton would have doubled up in the high jump. Tori White finished second with a leap of 4 feet, 10 inches and Alex Riney was sixth with a jump of 4-8.
Abby Bruce was part of three top-six finishes. She was fourth in the long jump with a leap of 14-9 and placed sixth in the 200 with a time of 29.31 seconds.
Rivera, Winther, Bruce and Sims teamed up to finish fifth in the 4x200 relay. They recorded a time of 1:57.46.
The 4x400 relay team of Winther, Shannon, Harper Barton and Muckler finished sixth in 4:32.66.
