Underwood leads C-M girls at Dickinson Relays

Tigerhawks finish in top 55 of two relays

CEDAR FALLS — The Colfax-Mingo girls’ track and field team brought a few athletes to the annual Dickinson Relays on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa on Monday.

Leading the way for the Tigerhawks was Carley Underwood and C-M was in the top 55 of a pair of relays.

Underwood was 17th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.88 seconds. McKenna Pleima also competed in the event and placed 80th in 11.09.

In the 4x200 relay, the foursome of Rachael Uecker, Underwood, Emmalyn Buchman and Pleima finished 50th in 2 minutes, 0.38 seconds.

Adalai Schroeder, Shae Wilkins, Trinity Smith and Uecker competed in the 4x800 relay and the Tigerhawks were 53rd with a time of 12:33.54.
