Turnovers doom C-M boys in loss to EBF

Rockets win 15th straight game

EDDYVILLE — Colfax-Mingo’s boys basketball team committed 31 turnovers and that was too much for the Tigerhawks to overcome as Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont cruised to an 86-40 home win on Friday.

The Rockets improved to 19-2 after leading 25-11 after one quarter and 48-23 at halftime.

The Tigerhawks shot 38 percent from the floor, 5-of-21 from 3-point range and 3-of-6 from the free-throw line.

Cael Bracewell led Colfax-Mingo (4-17) with 14 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Cole Bracewell had six points and two rebounds, Joe Earles added six points and two assists and Colton Lind grabbed six boards and dished out six assists.

Trey Hockemeier chipped in three points and two steals and Harrison Rhone and Conner Wood each grabbed two rebounds.

The Rockets, who won the South Central Conference championship this winter, have won 15 straight games.
