Tigerhawks lose three times at Ogden quadrangular

Aikin finished 3-0 at 220 for Colfax-Mingo wrestling

OGDEN — Colfax-Mingo’s wrestling team lost three duals at a road quadrangular on Tuesday night.

Shane Aikin won all three of his matches, but the Tigerhawks couldn’t find the win column against host Ogden, Perry or Woodward-Granger.

Colfax-Mingo lost to Perry 46-33, was defeated 55-24 by Ogden and was downed 63-12 by Woodward-Granger.

Aikin was 3-0 at 220 pounds. He won twice by fall and took a forfeit against Woodward-Granger. John McGill won the other match against W-G by fall.

McGill suffered his first loss of the season in the Ogden dual. McGill, who is ranked 11th at 138 pounds, lost 10-1 to 1A No. 8 Kale Munson at 145. McGill is now 7-1 this season.

In the loss to Perry, Lily Webster (106), Mariah Webster (126), Kylie Doty (132) and Aikin all won by fall. McGill won 8-4 at 145 and Danica Linn took a forfeit at 120.

In the loss to Ogden, Linn, Mariah Webster and Aikin all won by fall and Gaven Slycord (285) took a forfeit.

Aikin is now 8-1 on the season, while Linn improved to 5-1.
