BELLE PLAINE — Cole and Cael Bracewell led Colfax-Mingo’s baseball team to a narrow win over Belle Plaine on Friday night.
The Bracewell brothers shared pitching duties on the mound and had six of the Tigerhawks’ 10 hits at the plate during a 7-6 road win in South Iowa Cedar League action.
It was the second straight win for Colfax-Mingo (5-8 overall, 3-6 in conference play). The Tigerhawks limited Belle Plaine (6-9, 5-6) to six hits. Both teams committed one error.
Cole Bracewell started on the mound and went 3 2/3 innings. He allowed one earned run on three hits with four strikeouts and earned the win.

He handed the ball off to his younger brother Cael, who tossed the final 3 1/3 innings for the save. Cael Bracewell surrendered five runs — three earned — on three hits with nine strikeouts.
The duo issued just one walk on the night.
Cael Bracewell had a team-best four hits and three RBIs at the dish and also scored one run.
Cole Bracewell finished with two hits, two runs and one RBI, Zach Steenhoek tripled and scored two runs and Hunter Stevens tripled, had two RBIs and scored one run.
Jake Nichols and Konner Dalton both had one hit apiece for the Tigerhawks.
