BEAMAN — BCLUW scored four runs in the fifth and sixth innings to pull way from Baxter’s baseball team on Tuesday night.
The Comets and Bolts were tied at 3-all after four innings before BCLUW pulled away for good during a 7-3 non-conference home victory.
Baxter (1-8) finished with nine hits but committed three errors. Cody Damman, Jake Travis, Cael Shepley and Nate McMinamen all had two hits to lead the offense.

Shepley added two RBIs and one run, Travis scored two runs, Damman stole a base and McMinamen tallied one RBI.
Ben Richardson had one hit, one walk and stole two bases.
Travis started on the mound and allowed four runs — three earned — on six hits with five strikeouts and one walk in four innings. He took the loss.
Damman pitched two innings and allowed three runs — zero earned — on three hits with three strikeouts.
BCLUW improved to 3-5 on the season.
