EBF baseball shuts out mistake-prone Mustangs

EDDYVILLE — Four errors plagued PCM’s baseball team during a road non-conference game against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on Tuesday.

The Rockets improved to 7-1 after downing the Mustangs 9-0 at home.

PCM (3-4) was limited to three hits and three walks on offense. The hits came from Caleb Duinink, Sage Burns and Cade Lindsay and Durant Van Dyke, Beau Webb and Easton Webb each drew a walk.

Beau Webb took the mound in the sixth inning and got one out after allowing one hit.

The other three Mustangs who walked to the mound were pitching for the first time this season and, for some, the first time in a few years.

Zeb Padget started and took the loss after allowing three earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts, one walk and one hit by pitch.

Jacob Wenndt pitched one inning and allowed zero earned runs on one hit with one strikeout.

Gavin Fenton got two outs after allowing two earned runs on one hit with one walk.
