COLFAX — Kylie Doty cranked out a pair of triples and had two RBIs at the plate and spun a six-hitter in the circle to lead Colfax-Mingo’s softball team to a 5-2 win over BGM on Monday.
The Tigerhawks scored two runs in the third inning to take a lead and then plated two more in the fifth to go back in front for good.
C-M scored its final run in the sixth to complete the South Iowa Cedar League victory.
Doty had two of the team’s six hits. Both of the hits were triples and she scored one run. Charlotte Donahue also had two hits and scored a run.

Doty claimed the win in the circle after allowing one earned run on six hits with four strikeouts and one walk in seven innings.
Holland Robinette doubled and had an RBI at the plate, Madison Stackhouse walked once and scored a run and Abi Rawlins scored one run and had one RBI.
Joslyn Chadwick got the other hit and Carley Underwood scored one run.
The win for C-M improved its conference record to 3-2. BGM fell to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in conference games.
Collins-Maxwell 4, Colfax-Mingo 0
COLLINS — Sisters Lexi and Erica Houge guided Class 1A No. 4 Collins-Maxwell to a win over Colfax-Mingo on Tuesday night.
Lexi Houge finished with two hits, two runs and two stolen bases and Erica Houge struck out 10 in the circle to guide the Spartans to a 4-0 win in non-conference play.
The Tigerhawks (3-7) were limited to three hits and Robinette walked once. The hits came from Doty, Danica Linn and Rawlins.

Doty took the loss in the circle after surrendering four runs — three earned — on four hits with four strikeouts and one walk in six innings.
Collins-Maxwell (8-0) led 3-0 after three and plated its fourth run in the fifth.
Lexi Houge opened the bottom of the first with a single. She stole second and third before scoring on a bunt single by Avery Fricke. Lexi Houge tripled and scored in the fifth.
The Spartans have six shutouts this season.
