Pella Christian cruises past C-M softball

PELLA — Colfax-Mingo’s softball team was held to just two hits in a 10-0 loss to Pella Christian on Thursday.

Kylie Doty had both hits and took the loss in the circle as the Eagles plated two in the first, six in the third and two in the fifth to end the game early.

One of Doty’s hits was a double. She also took the loss in the circle after allowing two earned runs on two hits with one walk in one inning.

Abi Rawlins pitched the final 3 2/3 innings and surrendered eight earned runs on nine hits with two strikeouts and four walks.

The Tigerhawks (2-6) committed one error. Pella Christian improved to 5-3 on the season.
