STATE CENTER — Baxter’s golf teams went to Lincoln Valley Golf Course on Thursday and finished third in a three-team varsity triangular.
The Baxter boys shot a 234 but were defeated by West Marshall (185) and BCLUW (189). The girls carded a 258, while West Marshall (201) won it and BCLUW (236) finished second. The West Marshall girls JV shot a 222.

Zach Backus led the Baxter boys with a 52 and Carter Samson shot a 59. The other two counting scores came from Jalen Porter (60) and Dalton Shanks (63).
Cameron Petermeier (73) and Sam Cross (76) carded non-counting scores.
West Marshall’s Joey Tollefson was the meet medalist with a 43 and BCLUW’s Kade Pekarek (44) finished as the runner-up.
Corryn Padget shot a 60 to lead the Baxter girls. Allison Colyn (62), Calleah Frink (64) and Hallee Rainsbarger (72) had the other counting scores, while Bri Dahlke (74) carded a non-counting score.
West Marshall’s Ella Meyer was the medalist with a 45. Emma Stanley shot a 49 to finish as the runner-up.
