PCM soccer falls to sixth-ranked Nevada

Mustangs lose conference opener to Cubs

MONROE — Jose Buenrrosto scored four goals and had four assists, Drew Robinson added two goals and one assist and Nevada’s boys soccer team downed PCM 10-0 on the road on Tuesday during Heart of Iowa Conference play.

The Class 2A No. 6 Cubs led 8-0 and ended the match in the 62nd minute because of the 10-goal mercy rule.

Aidan Freeman and Kent Sponseller each had a pair of assists.

Nevada (3-0-1 overall, 1-0 in the HOIC) had an 18-1 advantage in shots on goal. The Mustangs fell to to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the LHC.
