INDIANOLA — Jaden Dydell won twice, Henry Jensen had the other victory and NCMP’s boys’ swim team placed second at the Little Hawkeye Conference meet last Thursday.
The Cardinals scored 304 points in the runner-up position. Indianola won the conference title with 510 points. Grinnell (279) was third and Oskaloosa (81) finished fourth at the Indianola YMCA.
Dydell’s wins came in the 50-yard freestyle and 100 breaststroke. He won the 50 freestyle in 22.59 seconds. His winning time in the 100 breaststroke was clocked at 1 minute, 1.1 seconds.
Jensen won the 200 freestyle in 1:56.55. He also was second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:26.10.
Landon Heisdorffer finished third in the 200 individual medley. His time was 2:36.94.
The other top-three finish came in the 200 medley relay. Jackson Mace-Maynard, Dydell, Eli Eekhoff and Jordan Henderson were second with a time of 1:49.84.
Eleven Cardinal swimmers recorded 14 career-best times and 17 season-best times, according to head coach Steve Jones.
