SULLY — The Lynnville-Sully volleyball team bounced back from a narrow loss in the first set of its South Iowa Cedar League matchup with Sigourney on Monday.
But the Savages recovered in time to score a 25-23, 19-25, 25-16, 25-18 road win over the Hawks.

Sigourney’s seventh straight win over Lynnville-Sully pushed its series lead to 13-12 since 2007. It was the first four-set win during that stretch though.
Kate Harthoorn led the Hawks with 22 assists, seven kills and six digs.
Tatum Huyser added six kills, 14 digs, four assists and four blocks, Penelope Robinson chipped in seven kills, eight digs and three aces and Ava Brummel posted four kills and seven digs.

Brilynn Tice contributed three blocks, five digs and three aces, Brooke Hardeman totaled 12 digs and three aces and Olivia Beyer pitched in 14 digs. Morgan Hay had six digs and Jaelynn Vander Wilt tallied two digs.
Lynnville-Sully ((5-7, 1-2 in the SICL) was 49-of-60 in serves with 11 aces. Harthoorn served 11-of-12, Hardeman was 9-of-10 and the Hawks had a kill efficiency of .115.
Bailey Gretter led Sigourney (9-4, 2-0) with 18 kills and 30 digs. Becca Gretter contributed 22 assists, three aces and nine digs and Addy Fineran put down 10 kills.
The Savages served 80-of-89 with nine aces and had a kill efficiency of .085.
