VICTOR — A career night at the net from Tatum Huyser and 12 aces helped the Lynnville-Sully volleyball team to its first South Iowa Cedar League win of the season on Thursday.
The Hawks drew even in conference play and claimed their third win in four tries against HLV/TC after downing the Warriors 25-23, 25-23, 25-21 on the road.

Huyser finished with a career-high 14 kills and a career-best five blocks and added nine digs in the win.
Kate Harthoorn chipped in 20 assists and eight digs, Brooke Hardeman totaled nine digs, Ava Brummel tallied three kills and three digs and Brilynn Tice put down four kills.
Morgan Hay had four digs, Penelope Robinson put down two kills and Jaelynn Vander Wilt contributed two digs.

Lynnville-Sully (3-4, 1-1 in the SICL) was 73-of-77 in serves with 12 aces. Huyser and Hardeman both served 14-of-14, Harthoorn was 10-of-10 and Robinson finished 13-of-14.
The Hawks, who improved to 19-18 against HLV/TC since 2007, had a kill efficiency of .135 and totaled eight blocks. Huyser leads L-S with 62 kills and 112 digs this season.
Nicole Gensley led HLV/TC (3-6, 1-0) with 12 kills, five digs and five blocks. The Warriors finished 65-of-68 in serves with 10 aces. They also had 11 blocks.
