Options for Every Stage of Seniors’ Lives at Newton Village

Newton Village - Options for Every Stage of Seniors’ Lives at Newton Village

As we age, our needs change. Newton Village’s full continuum of care—independent living, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation, and long-term care—allows older adults to age in place without needing to move elsewhere for support.

Why It Matters This model assists residents in staying in a familiar setting as care needs change, if possible. A health care assessment determines the type and level of care needed throughout an individual’s stay at the community. Staff get to know residents well, learning their preferences to offer more personalized service. Therapy services—including physical, occupational, and speech—are available on site, so residents never have to travel elsewhere.

Couples with different care needs can live under one roof, share meals, and spend time together without being separated by different locations.

The Newton Village Difference Managed by Cassia, a nonprofit with faith-based roots, Newton Village offers spiritual care through a full-time chaplain and a space for religious services and events. Known for its small-town hospitality, residents often gather on the front porch to welcome visitors and connect during meals, activities, and events. Meals are chef-prepared and consistently rated well above the national average.

Unlike a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Newton Village doesn’t charge large entry fees. Residents pay the cost of services as needed—with all pricing clearly disclosed up front.

Extras That Matter Residents can care for their small pets in independent and assisted living, so they don’t have to leave beloved companions behind. Conveniently located near MercyOne Newton Medical Center, Newton Village has proudly served Newton and nearby communities for more than 20 years.

Note: Not everyone is eligible to live in a continuum of care community. An assessment will determine ongoing eligibility.

Newton Village is located at 110 N 5th Avenue W, Newton, IA 50208.
