Prairie City student works with French chefs

Second-year Iowa Culinary Institute DMACC student Gabe Stover, left, of Prairie City, watches as French Chef Sylvain Roux stirs a large pan of mushrooms to be served at a gourmet dinner prepared by the culinary students under the watchful eye of two French chefs from the St. Etienne region of France. Roux and Chef Stéphane Sanial spent two weeks at DMACC culminating in three French gourmet dinners. Roux is the executive chef at Château Blanchard and Sanial is the executive chef at L’Auberge de la Grand Font in France.
