At least one of the claims made by Representative Mariennette Miller-Meeks in her March 15 column is false. She says job growth under the Biden Administration has been stagnant.
According to the U.S. Commerce Department of Economic Analysis the economy added 2.7 million jobs in 2023.
The Iowa Workforce Development website says Iowa businesses added jobs in nearly every major industry last month. To quote from a recent news release, “Opportunity abounds for anyone who wants to work.”
This is hardly the result of “Biden’s failed economic agenda.”
We need to hold our representatives accountable to not mislead the public by making false or inaccurate statements.
