Sherrie Kay Verwers Decker

Sherrie Kay Verwers Decker, born December 2, 1950, to Marian and Edith Verwers in Newton, Iowa. She passed away with her family by her side on October 2, 2025. She was proceeded in death by her husband Forest Samuel Decker in June of 2022, parents and an infant sister Elaine. Survived by two sons, Sammy and wife Nicky, Shane and wife Jennifer, grandchildren Bailey (Alan) Harms, Hannah Decker, Jackson Williamson, Brynlee and Addison Decker. She is also survived by her sister Susie (Richard) Ditmer and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be given in her memory to the Putnam County Memorial Hospital or to the Leukemia Foundation.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date
