Robert Provin

Robert “Bob” Provin was born on November 22, 1937, to Ray and Ethel Provin in Newton Iowa. He spent most of his life chasing adventure and living life to the fullest. In 1957, he married the love of his life, Mitzi, and together they embarked on a journey that would take them to Southern California for 43 years and then moved back to Iowa to be with family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife, Mary “Mitzi” Provin, his children, Dennis and his wife Laurie of Texas, Debbi and her husband Tim of Oregon, and Wendy and her husband Jeff of Indiana; his grandchildren, Robby, Nate, and Noah; his great-grandchildren, Serena and Alayna; and lots of grand dogs.

Bob was a man with a big heart and a contagious smile. He loved his family fiercely and was always there to lend a helping hand.

He had many talents and hobbies. He loved water skiing and could often be found tearing up the lake with his family and friends. He was also a licensed pilot and passionate about flying single-engine planes. When he wasn’t up in the air, he was on the ground flying remote-control planes as well. But above all else, he had a passion for classic cars. He spent countless hours restoring them to their former glory and even won many awards for his work.

Bob was a hardworking man who ran his own business, STC RV Performance Center, before retiring. He spent his golden years in Iowa, surrounded by his family, friends, and beloved classic cars. He attended numerous car shows with Mitzi, their children, and lots of friends.

Rest in peace, Bob. May your endearing legacy and love of classic cars live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
