Ella Mae Suckow

Ella Mae Suckow of Carlisle passed away on December 5, 2023, at the age of 55 in Des Moines after a long battle with kidney disease and heart problems. She was comfortable and surrounded by loved ones at the time of her death.

Ella was born on May 14, 1968, in Iowa City, Iowa to Edward and Eva (Meador) Suckow. She was loved by people far and wide, friends, family, and animals alike. She loved to travel, and enjoyed frequent road trips with her partner, Jeff Brauer. She was well known for her cooking, hugs, and unwavering support and love for those close to her.

She is survived by her partner, Jeff Brauer, and her fur babies, Gizmo and Sissy. Also left to remember her are the following: sister, Dawn (Raymond) Seals, best friend, Jamie Brewer, and stepdaughter, Heather (Shane) Hoven; her”kids”: David (Megan) Suckow, Denise (Richard) Ewing, Rachel Seals (Garrett), Jasmin Kies (Jeremy), Miranda Seals (Everett), Mystery Frommelt, Jose (Kayla) Frommelt, Skylar Suckow (Anna); her “great-kids”: Michael Hoven (Heather), Zaylie and Layla Ewing (Denise), Michael Gullion (Rachel), Daniel, Nathan, Lydia, and Mia Suckow (David), and Sebastian and Elijah Frommelt (Jose); as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She has been reunited in death with both parents; brother, Joshua Suckow, stepson, Anthony Pangburn; an infant son; great-stepson, Isaac Hoven; and several aunts, uncles, and both sets of grandparents.

A visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton. The family will be having a private burial service at a later date. Memorials in Ella’s name can be left at the funeral home. Please make checks payable to Jeff Brauer.
