Paul Lee Jordan

Paul Lee Jordan was born October 9, 1944 in Knoxville, Iowa the son of Marion and Clara (Ridlen) Jordan.

He was raised in the Dunreath, Iowa area and attended White Walnut Country School. He graduated from Monroe High School with the Class of 1963. After high school, Paul worked for a gas station and at the elevator in Monroe. On September 4, 1964 Paul was united in marriage to Terri Dobbs. The couple have always made their home on the family farm near Pleasantville. In addition to farming, Paul worked at Firestone for 30 years prior to retirement. Following retirement, he worked as a custodian for Pleasantville Schools.

Paul was a racing enthusiast and enjoyed drag, sprint and NASCAR racing. He was also a strong supporter of Pleasantville FFA and 4-H. Paul’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially the grand and great-grandchildren.

Paul passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at his home at the age of 78 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Jordan Bender.

Those left to honor Paul’s memory include his wife, Terri; daughters: Kelly (Mearle) Bender and Kathy Jo (Randall) Ramsey; grandchildren: MaKenzie Hafel, Gage (Kathleen) Bender, Randall Ramsey II (Ka’Sha Nunn), Jason Ramsey (Amanda Milburn) and Misty Watson; great-grandchildren: Allaina, Tayten, Samuel and Logan Bender; Nathan Kimbrough III, Navia Terrell, Niyanna Moore, Nmya Moore, Aurora Westrum, Nelliyaunna Myers and JD Jobe and many other family members and friends.

A private family gathering for Paul Jordan, age 78 of Pleasantville, will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 at the Mason Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A public visitation will follow from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the visitation.
