Margaret “Maggie” Ann Clark, 88, of Prairie City died May 22, 2023, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Maggie was born December 19, 1934, in Des Moines to Frank and Margaret (Walsh) Millburn. She graduated from Colfax High School on May 26, 1953.

Maggie was united in marriage to Duane Clark on May 27, 1953. She enjoyed taking vacations to Minnesota for fishing adventures, exploring the vibrant city of Las Vegas, and visiting Prairie Meadows. She found solace in the beauty of nature and the thrill of trying her luck at the casino.

Maggie was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax. She found solace and strength in her faith, and her involvement in the church community brought her great joy. Maggie loved to sing in the choir. In her leisure time, Maggie had a passion for roller-skating, gracefully gliding across the rink with joy and enthusiasm. She possessed a remarkable talent for baking delicious cookies.

Above all, Maggie treasured the moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished every family gathering, creating lasting memories and ensuring that her love and wisdom would be passed down through the generations.

She is survived by her children, Mary Jo (Les) Hostetter, Mike (Kim) Clark, and Frank (Kristy) Clark; 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; brother, Francis Millburn; and many nieces and nephews. Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Clark and parents, Frank and Margaret Millburn.

Mass of Christian Burial for Maggie was held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax. Burial was in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.
