Teresa Jesse Healy Hauge

Teresa Jesse Healy Hauge, the daughter of John and Mildred Belle (Saddler) Healy was born April 19, 1931, in Newton, Iowa.  She graduated from Saint Joseph’s Academy in Des Moines, Iowa.

On June 18, 1951, Teresa was united in marriage with Claude Hauge in Newton, Iowa.  Teresa devoted her life to her husband and five children.  She earned her private pilot’s license and was an amateur radio operator.  She was a member of the Amateur Radio Club, the Polar Amateur Radio Club, Homemaker’s Club, and the Civil Air Patrol. While living in Alaska she created and sold oil paintings of the Alaskan wilderness. Teresa was a member of Saint Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church in Anchorage, Alaska, a founding member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Whitehouse, Texas and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton, Iowa. 

Teresa died on Monday, May 30, 2022, at her home in Newton.  She was 91 years old.
