Jerome “Jerry” Malone, 84, of Montgomery and Surprise, Ariz., died Feb. 26, 2021, peacefully at his home. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6 at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. with Father Tom Niehaus officiating.
Jerome was born Feb. 3, 1937, in Wadena, Minn., to Robert and Elizabeth (Spahn) Malone. He graduated from Wadena High School and then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree at the University of Minnesota. Jerome worked in sales management at The Maytag Co. in Newton, for 38 years, where he finished his career as vice president of sales. Jerome was united in marriage Aug. 29, 1959, to Anita (Finnegan) of Montgomery at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Jerome enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also loved traveling with Anita and going on nature walks everywhere they went.
Jerome is survived by his wife, Anita; children, John (Laurie) Malone of Maplewood, Minn., Molly Malone (Eric Smith) of Pleasanton, Calif., James Malone of Roseville, Calif., and Dan (Amy) Malone of New Braunfels, Texas; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister, Dona Bauman of Deltona, Fla.; brothers, James (Peggy) Malone of Havre, Mont., and Robert Malone of Boulder, Colo. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Malone; brother, William Malone; sisters, Ellan Tetrault and Virginia Malone.
