The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) Iowa Chapter announces its upcoming “Strictly Social: Newton” event, a welcoming and uplifting gathering for individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease (PD), along with their care partners, friends and family members.

The event will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 13, at Newton Village, 110 N. Fifth Ave. W. in Newton.

“Strictly Social” is a series of community-based events designed to foster connection, joy, and support among those affected by Parkinson’s. Attendees can expect a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where they can meet others in the PD community, share stories, and create meaningful moments together.

“Living with PD doesn’t mean you have to do it alone,” a spokesperson from the APDA Iowa Chapter said. “These events are about building community, celebrating life and reminding everyone that joy and connection are always within reach.”

The event is free to attend, but space is limited. To secure your spot contact the APDA Iowa Chapter directly at 515-207-6296 or apdaiowa@apdaparkinson.org.
