Great Iowa Treasure Hunt currently has more than $575 million in forgotten funds just waiting to be reunited with their rightful owners.

“While ghosts and goblins may be make-believe, unclaimed money is very real,” Smith said. “To date, Great Iowa Treasure Hunt has returned more than $415 million to Iowans, and there’s still plenty of loot to claim!”

Finding your treasure does not take a ghost hunter either – just visit GreatIowaTreasureHunt.gov, type your name in the search bar and see if you have unclaimed property waiting for you. It is completely free and might just be the best treat you find this Halloween.
