Progress Industries and negotiators for the United Auto Workers Local 997 reached a three-year contract agreement after productive negotiations at the bargaining table.
The contract covers 142 employees who provide residential, supported employment and day-habilitation services for people with disabilities across Jasper and Polk counties in central Iowa.
“This agreement reflects the value we place on our employees and the essential work they do each day. Their commitment, skill, and compassion are the foundation of P.I.’s mission, and this outcome strengthens our ability to support them while continuing to provide high-quality services to people with disabilities,” Keith Isley, president and CEO, said.
A ratification vote Friday, Oct. 10, resulted in the approval of the contract effective Oct. 15, 2025 through Oct. 14, 2028.
