Vernon’s Brand Expo gives a fresh look at promo trends

The Vernon Company hosted a Brand Expo recently at the Des Moines Embassy Club West. The event brought together nearly 200 customers, account executives and industry suppliers to showcase the latest trending promotional products. The expo also allowed for instant collaboration to prepare for future promo needs for Vernon’s customers.

The Vernon Company rolled out the welcome mat for its Brand Expo in September at the Des Moines Embassy Club West. After a seven-year hiatus, the event made a strong return — welcoming nearly 150 customers and potential buyers alongside 20 of Vernon’s Midwest account representatives for a day dedicated to connection, creativity and the latest in promotional product trends.

On the tradeshow floor, 25 of Vernon’s top supplier partners showcased thousands of their newest and best-selling products, giving attendees a first-hand look at what’s shaping the industry. The event provided one-on-one interaction with reps and gave customers an up-close look at the products.

Adding to the excitement, Vernon hosted its own booth featuring live demos of the company’s newly launched On-Demand Merch Store platform. Guests not only got a closer look at how the platform streamlines branded merchandise programs but also had the chance to win a complimentary store setup.

“It takes a full team effort to pull off an event of this scale,” Lisa Hubbard, vice president of sales and marketing, said. “The planning, preparation, hard work and positive energy were in perfect sync.”

The theme of the day, Made to Inspire, extended beyond the displays. Guests enjoyed a buffet meal, received sample products to take home and left with new ideas to elevate their brand presence in the year ahead.

Mindy Benson, a sales rep for Vernon, described the Brand Expo as an outstanding experience. “It was a 10/10 day,” Benson said. “There’s nothing quite like experiencing product reviews firsthand versus online or in a catalog — total game changer.”
